The Accountant 2

Director Gavin O’Connor and Ben Affleck return in this sequel to the 2016 film that followed a man on the spectrum who launders money for criminal and terrorist organizations. The story for the sequel is under wraps.

The Accountant 2 releases April 25.

Thunderbolts*

This MCU team-up film features Florence Pugh‘s Yelena Belova leading a squad of villains on a dangerous mission. Thunderbolts* also features David Harbour, Sebastian Stan and Julia Louis-Dreyfuss.

The Accountant 2 releases May 2.

A Big Bold Beautiful Journey

Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie star in this tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects them.

This continuation of the Karate Kid franchise centers around Jackie Chan‘s Han teaming with Ralph Macchio‘s Daniel LaRusso to help a new Karate Kid.

How to Train Your Dragon

This live-action reboot of the best Dreamworks animated franchise looks quite promising.

The Running Man

This remake of the 1987 Arnold Schwarzenegger-led film stars Glen Powell and features Edgar Wright helming his first film since Last Night in Soho.

Wicked: For Good

The 1st Wicked film was my favorite film of 2024. With Elphaba and Glinda going down separate paths, how will Oz fair?

Wicked: For Good releases Nov. 21.

Zootopia 2

Here’s hoping the long-gestating sequel to the 2016 film will fare better than Moana 2. The first Zootopia film is one of the best animated films Disney Animation has released, so this franchise has plenty of potential.

Avatar: Fire and Ash

I’ve never loved the Avatar films. The visuals are amazing, but the story keeps me at arm’s length emotionally. Perhaps the 3rd time is the charm?

Avatar: Fire and Ash releases Dec. 19.

Marty Supreme

In what is becoming somewhat of a holiday tradition, Timothee Chalamet headlines a film in December. This sports drama film features Josh Safdie directing and also stars Gwyneth Paltrow.
